7th Weekend - Exploration & Celebration

So, I've met up with an agency from GE, one from Prudential. Mtg another one from P. later. Got the available test slots for the next two months from P. I realize what I'm looking for isn't the benefits of what the agent would receive(or so called "remuneration package"), but rather the character and management style of the manager I would be working under. How driven, how kind, how flexible, how he/she manages, the values and principles he/she has in his/her life, his/her lifestyle.

I get the question, "What's holding you back from switching over full time?" because I told them upfront I only want it on a PT basis. However, I forgot that performance based work doesn't break down into full time or PT. Its just solely based on productive effort, not the number of hours I pump in.

And then I get a comment "Wow, you are smart and greedy. And you're honest about it."

Don't know if it's good or bad.

And I get the question, "Money or Experience. Which would you go for?"

Of course, I'll go for experience anytime. :)

I think I had painted a very greedy image of myself when I said I wanna pay for any materialistic things in my life with cash. But what I really want is the intangible things that come along with it.

So which should I choose? I still think that the males I've met are still stronger leaders. Both have their own strengths. One is kind, compassionate, wants to create a social services dept, needs help with newsletter-publicity stuff which I have knowledge in. The other is more experienced, more driven in terms of results. Moreover, I have a friend under him, so I do not need to start exploring from scratch in a way. Both are realistic in the sense that they tell me upfront of their own expectations and that it is indeed not an easy road for everyone to take. Both are open to the fact that I've been meeting up with the different agencies company-wise and agency-wise. Both go for well-balanced lifestyles, and I salute the way they lead their everyday lives. How many of us could afford to spend quality time with families during the day, work a few hours in the evenings or afternoons, and at the same time deliver results? Of course, this lifestyle is available probably after a few years in the line itself.

Any suggestions? I need a little help here.

Signed up for Medalist Appreciation Party which is to be held later. Had to get a rating so DD and me played on Thurs night. My aiming is getting better, yeah. Somehow, I seem to play better in darts when I'm feeling very tired. Training of the mental state? The guy in charge came down to collect our forms, and he gave me a rating of 2. hahaha. Prob due to sympathy when he saw how tired I looked that night. I'll make it up to that mark soon I guess.

woohoo. Got through the 1st round to play against 36 other players.

and then I started playing lousily. hurhur. Personally best was only 585 when the top 10 players got over 3000 pts.

Got this during the lucky draw :D :D :D

Damn prettyyyyy. Its one of the more sought after dart flights during the draw. Handpicked by a newbie like me. hehehe. So lucky. A set of flight usually costs about 1 or 2 dollars. Pple are willing to pay $10 just for this. I want a Mickey Mouse one!

They catered Botak Jones for food. Yummlicious BBQ Chicken Wings. They use too much spices for the other dishes though.

Event is held very smoothly. Just that the place is a little cram for 63 people. Nonetheless, the organizer of the event did a great job.

Pearlyn's Wedding.

Late. Went to the wrong ballroom. Lucky I didnt sit at the table before I realized that I'm at the wrong ballroom. My colleagues reserved some food for me. Hee.
Like the video they prepared -- the traditional ceremony where the bridegrooms' side have to pick the bride from her maiden's home before serving tea. The bridegroom was made to dance, do pushups, and read one whole passage in dialect when his dialect is at beginner level.

Celebrated Cindy's bday on Fri night. An impromptu one. Since my rash has disappeared, we went prawning for an hour and we only managed to catch a prawn. just ONE. The place standardized the rods such that more luck is required than skill. That kindof sucks.

Wanted to go the $10 karaoke at Chinatown, fully booked. Settlers at North Canal Road, too exp for an hour. Settled at Mac Chinatown b4 we headed home. PPPPPE - Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance Enjoyment.

Aye, my fault. Was late for almost an hour due to the chat with mgr from P.
