4th Weekend - Games & Rest

after several days of going home late.

Feels good to be nuaing indoors when its raining outside.

Ate Far East Chicken rice yday. Still good stuff. One of the best I've eaten in Singapore. Walked past the shop where Leonard was working; He called me. Almost forgot he's working there. haha. Found darts machine at E2-Max at Cineleisure. Cool. A place for young pple, like us! The sitting area has been filled with pool and soccer tables. Played darts and table soccer with DD. Still lose. zZzZ. Seems like his quick reflexes still overshines my "strong" defenses.

Dinner with Cindy and Boon yday. They're back from U.S. Great to see them again after 4 months.

Somehow, it seems like most people whom I interact with take a step at a time. They plan in the short term. Hmm, am I the only one who plans in the long term? Does anyone know the power of passive income? Surely, alot of work is involved within the first few years. What happens next? Regardless of whether you're working, you still get paid. Its like a franchiser. They sell the rights to the prospective franchisees, they earn a certain amount.

Do people really want to work for others for the rest of their lives, and sacrifice time which they can spend with their families (including children)? Of course, there're benefits being an employee, stuff like total insurance covered in case of any mishaps, medical benefits and stuff. But when you're unemployed, you're unemployed. Employers dont really sympathize with you if you're old, hasnt been employed for a while, has a family to feed. If someone younger with the same experience can do the same work and has no strings attached, who will the job go to? Singaporeans are picky by nature, incoming foreigners are not. Who will the job go to?

I am not saying being employed by companies or in the government sector isn't good. Just that when times change, humans have to change too. I only want to be able to pay any material things in my life with cash. I want the luxury of time, so that I can afford to bring my grandparents or parents to doctors or clinics whenever necessary, or take care of my own children when they're born. That's the few main things I want for my family life.
